The Library Catalog will be unavailable, due to scheduled maintenance, from Sept. 6 at 9pm, until September 8 at 5pm.

The Research Library will be closed Sept. 20–24 in order to perform necessary inventory and maintenance projects.

The Reference Department of the Research Library at the Getty Research Institute will attempt to help you answer your arts-related question or refer you to a more suitable resource. The appropriate librarian or department will reply within a month.

The Getty cannot provide appraisal or authentication services for works of art. The Research Library has provided some resources that may help you with this type of query:
